Children's Choir

The Psalms tell us to "make a joyful noise to the Lord" and there can be no more joyful sound than the sound of children singing God's praises. Our Children's Choir program is for children in Kindergarten through Fourth grade.
The children learn the basics of music and how to sing as a group. The director uses percussion instruments, Orff instruments, taped accompaniment, movement and games to help the children understand the principles of melody and rhythm. The children prepare music to be shared with all three services throughout the year. Rehearsals begin after Labor Day.

Hand Chime Choir

Our hand chimes are easy to play, durable, and have a beautiful tone. We have about two and half octaves, and the chimes are used at SCC camp as well as part of our Children's Music Program. Our display includes several chimes, and two copies of how the music is designed to teach the children different songs.
Our Hand Chime choir is designed for all children in fifth grade and beyond. The children learn the basics of music, fun learning exercises, and prepare music to be part of all three services. Their season begins after Labor Day.
